We had a birthday celebration at The Cotton Mill recently and I must say it was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have ever had!!!!
The restaurant is a gem in itself...so warm, cozy and inviting...the waitstaff is spectacular. Our server did a wonderful job...she had a great personality..actually everyone there was very friendly and attentive...and immaculate service....couldn't have asked for better hospitality or service.
The best thing we got was the ribeye...DELICIOUS!!!...all four people that got one said so. We also had the shrimp and grits, chicken pie, fried green tomatoes, calamari and the pork chop...UMMM!!!!!
I would have to rate our dining experience a ten...I would recommend this place to everyone.
I went with a group of people to The Cotton Mill Restaurant recently. Whoa...what a joke! Since there were several of us, we ordered a variety of menu items and I heard no compliments on any of it! The food was extremely over-spiced and tremendously over-priced! It was not cooked as most of us asked and, over-all, left much to be desired. In fact, I went home hungry! I can only guess that people who either are lured in through Restaurant.com or have stopped at the Cotton Mill Inn to stay and don't know of many other great restaurants in W-S are the only customers this place has - at least more than once.
Do you think that this place would be good for a Prom group to eat dinner at?
A hidden gem in the Brookstown Inn. The Cotton Mill has been reopened and it is fantastic. A very impressive menu, great service and an intimate atmosphere. Prices are good and all the portions are very large. I had the fried chicken liver appetizer (it has bacon and sauteed onions and a mustard dipping sauce), spinach salad and the shrimp and grits with grilled asparagus as my vegetable. My wife had house salad and the angus meatloaf and mashed potatoes. The bleu cheese dressing for the salads is the best in town. Everything was very good, had a lot of flavor, and came to the table steaming hot. The service was very good and polite without being intrusive or snobbish. Highly recommended for a date night.
