Sales Manager Position for New Magazine Company

Exciting new company is looking for experienced sales managers to help us expand our customer base. We are looking for self-motivated, independant, reliable, go getters that can take our Sales Department to the next dimension.
Job Description:
Principal Duties
Direct the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. Coordinate sales distribution by establishing quotas and goals and establish training programs for sales representatives. Analyze sales statistics gathered to determine sales potential and inventory requirements and monitor the preferences of customers.
Reports To: Advertising and Sales Director
Role and Responsibilities:
-Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and improve sales and service programs.
-Establish and achieve monthly sales goals advertising space, subscription sales, and single copy sales for a designated region and client base.
-Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
-Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
-Direct and coordinate Street Teams activities involving sales of magazines, services, or other Hope Today products.
-Establish monthly goals for the hiring of Sales Consultants for the sale of Hope Today Product Kits
-Advise Advertising and Sales Director on needed policies and operating procedures to ensure functional effectiveness of the sales efforts.
-Represent company at trade association, and all other key meetings to promote products.
-Prepare budgets and review budget submissions of sales groups.
-Visit retail markets to stimulate interest in advertising space and the sales of products produced by the Hope Today Company.
-Assess marketing potential of new and existing businesses, and develop proposals for developing potential partnerships and/or sponsorships
Job Experience and Skills
-Minimum of five years in sales of consumer products
-Previous sales position within a consumer products or distribution company
-Minimum four years of college or equivalent experience
Skills and Other Requirements:
-Proficient in the use of personal computers, and Microsoft 2007 software
-Capable of developing spreadsheets and presentations
-Proficient in delivering presentations to corporate executives
-Good interpersonal and communication skills
-Proven track record of results
Compensation:
-15% commission on the sale of Advertisement space
-21% commission on the sale of annual subscription or single copy sales of Hope Today Magazine
-10% commission on the sale of Hope Today product line
-10% commission on the sale of annual subscriptions or single copies sold by Street Teams
-Bonus incentives on achieving advertising sales goals, subscription sales goals, and single copy sales goals, or any Hope Today products.
